Established in 1983, the Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) is the official voice of Pacific tourism, uniting 18 island nations and 188 industry partners under one vision — a thriving, sustainable Blue Pacific.
Members include American Samoa, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Wallis & Futuna.
SPTO’s mandate is to market and promote the Pacific as a unique, diverse, and sustainable tourism destination. Through global marketing, strategic partnerships, and data-driven planning, SPTO positions the Pacific as a must-visit region while championing sustainability, resilience, and innovation.
As part of the Council of Regional Organisations of the Pacific (CROP), SPTO advances the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent, fostering opportunities, visibility, and shared growth for the Pacific tourism industry.
