Center for Sustainable Energy® (CSE) is a national nonprofit that accelerates adoption of clean transportation and distributed energy through effective and equitable program design and administration.
Governments, utilities and the private sector trust CSE for its data-driven and software-enabled approach, deep domain expertise and customer-focused team.
CSE works in over a dozen states that are home to a third of all Americans. We launch, manage and optimize incentive programs valued at over $4 billion including:
• Used EV rebate programs for two of the largest IOUs in California (PG&E, SDG&E).
• Charge Ready Home panel upgrade program for Southern California Edison.
• Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) Business & Public Sector EV Program for medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles.
• A plan for optimal EV charger site locations for Power New Mexico’s (PNM).
• Statewide EV incentive programs in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Oregon.
• California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP), the largest statewide EV charging infrastructure program in the U.S.
• California’s Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing Program (SOMAH), the largest solar equity program in the U.S.
CSE’s proprietary Caret® platform determines optimal EV charging sites and tracks and analyzes EV charger data. CSE’s fee-for-service business model frees it from the influence of shareholders, members and donors, and ensures its independence.
